Challah Bake

by Isaac Attia

We had several challah bakes take place at different times on Thursday night, most notably for the Hebrew school which we opened to parents, grandparents, neighbors and friends. During all the challah bakes, we had them knead dough from fresh to get the full hands on experience, as well as we brought already risen dough to braid and take home to bake. Lastly, in addition to participants making challah for themselves, we also made extra challot which we delivered to the Grandell, a local nursing rehabilitation center so that we could gift and share the magic Shabbat with others. They were super appreciative and so thankful that we thought of them.
